SARAH & TIM: Cockliffe House Wedding

Sarah and Tim's wedding took place the weekend before last, and it was a very cool, relaxed and fun affair with all of their many friends playing a part in their day. They also lucked-out with one of the few truly sunny days we've had this year, which was perfect for their garden fete wedding reception on the lawns of Cockliffe Country House Hotel. Their wedding ceremony was held at the picturesque St Michael's Church at Linby. Guests gathered in front of the nearby Horse & Groom Pub and enjoyed a drink in the sunshine, before the groomsmen walked up to the church and welcomed everyone to their seats. Sarah arrived, driven by her dad in a very cute open top vintage sports car and, impressively in high winds, without a hair out of place! After the ceremony, Tim and Sarah drove away in the same car to the cheers, whooping and applause of all their loved ones. The marquee was up on the lawn of the Cockliffe, decorated with a vintage, summer fete style that was quintessentially English and they'd provided outdoor games to keep guests entertained; a coconut shy and a badminton net with rackets. Sarah's mum and aunt need a special mention, who between them provided all the beautiful scented flowers and bouquets, made the bunting, the favours and made the stunning naked cake, one of the prettiest cakes I've seen. Here's my favourite images to tell the story of their wedding day.
